PEDG 2024 is an international symposium sponsored by IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS) and is hosted by the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) from June 23rd to 26th, 2024.

PEDG 2024 provides an international platform for discussing how our expertise in power electronics can transform distribution systems, leading us towards a more sustainable future. This event promises a dynamic fusion of plenary speeches, tutorials,  and technical sessions. These sessions will delve deep into the theory,  analysis, design, and deployment of power electronics for distributed  generation, energy storage, and sustainable sources.

Accepted papers will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore subject to meeting IEEE Xplore’s scope and quality requirements. Selected papers will be considered for publication in special  issues or sections of IEEE PELS journals, including JESTPE and TPEL.

Moreover, student travel grants and best paper awards await you!!

Distribute, Integrate, and Electrify with Power Electronics

Topics

  • TRACK 1 l Power Electronics for Sustainable Sources  Advancements in power converters/controls for diverse sustainable  sources and hydrogen technologies, efficient power conversion using  innovative technologies, applications of solid-state transformers in DC  distribution/transmission, and the monitoring and protection standards  of distributed generation systems.

  • TRACK 2 l Energy Storage in Distributed Power Systems  Power electronics in energy storage systems and electric vehicles,  including their application in batteries, supercapacitor, hybrid storage  systems, and vehicle charging, alongside energy management  strategies for system planning, sizing, and diverse case solutions.

  • TRACK 3 l Power Systems Driven by Power Electronics  Power electronics in microgrids and nanogrids, distributed generation,  and as power stations, addressing topics such as grid interconnection,  islanded operation, electric power quality impacts and mitigation,  grid forming, demand response, and strategies for high distributed  generation penetration and renewable forecasting.

  • TRACK 4 l Emerging Topics

New power semiconductors, cybersecurity, AI, big data, policy issues,  and real-time simulation in renewable energy systems, with a particular  focus on their roles in power electronics-based distributed and  sustainable generation systems.

Digest and Final Paper Preparation Guidelines

  • Authors must submit papers online through the <Submit now!!> link. Please note early schedule for paper submission.
  • The digest document should be in English and should not exceed Five Double-Column Pages (including references). The digest submission must be received by March 15th, 2024 January 31, 2024.
  • Papers submitted to the PEDG 2024 Conference will undergo a double-blind review process. Submissions must not include any details identifying the author(s) in the original manuscript (including authors' names, affiliations, acknowledgments and other related personal information).
  • After being notified about paper acceptance, authors can revise their papers according to the reviewers' comments ensuring their final papers does not exceed Six Double-Column Pages (including references). The final paper submission must be received by May 15, 2024 April 30, 2024.
  • Accepted papers will be published in the proceedings of PEDG 2024 after oral or poster presentation.
  • Submissions to PEDG 2024 must not have already been published or be under review with another archival conference or journal. Papers on arXiv do not violate this rule as long as the submitted paper does not cite them. If a paper submitted to the conference is  accepted, at least one author must complete the regular registration and attend the conference to present the paper.
For no-show authors, their papers will not be included in the proceedings.
  • They will be published as received, and no formatting, spelling, grammar, or scientific content errors will be corrected. It is important to note that authors are solely responsible for copy-editing and formatting their abstract documents.

If you have any technical difficulties with the submission process or for any other question about the conference, please contact the Organizing Committee at pedg2024@list.lu

Final Paper Submission Guidelines

1. IEEE PDF eXpress check

Once the final manuscript is ready to submit, authors must create a PDF file using IEEE PDF eXpress. All submissions must be IEEE Explore-compliant and the only way to insure this is to use IEEE PDF eXpress.

First-time users should follow the instructions below:

  1. Select the “New Users - Click Here”.
  2. Enter the following:
    61800X for the Conference ID
    your email address
    a password
  3. Continue to enter information as prompted.

An online confirmation will be displayed and an email confirmation will be sent verifying your account setup.

Previous users of PDF eXpress need to follow the above procedure but should enter the same password that was used for previous conferences. Verify that your contact information is valid

2. Final Paper Submission

Please re-upload the PDF file created by IEEE PDF eXpress in the ExORDO paper submission system (https://pedg2024.exordo.com).

3. Author Registration

At least one of the authors for the final paper needs to complete the registration and payment. The details of the registration/payment procedure will be published on the conference web pages.

*Note

In order to have your paper published in the IEEE Xplore-compliant , you must PAY for at least one full registration for the paper, ATTEND the on-site conference and PRESENT your paper. This policy also applies to oral and poster presentations.

You must submit your final paper in an IEEE Explore-compliant PDF format by 30th April, 2024 at 23:59 CET at https://pedg2024.exordo.com. Your paper must comply with the specifications listed in the guide for authors. Due to publication deadlines, no time extensions will be granted.

Your final paper will be submitted to the IEEE Crosscheck system for plagiarism checking. Papers found to contain plagiarized material will not be accepted for publication.
